Beaver Snuggles and Snoozes - June 2024
Просмотров 7 тыс.Месяц назад
We admitted a rather unusual patient - a baby North American Beaver! While we do occasionally see beavers at our Center, this is by far one of the youngest we have admitted! Colorado Parks and Wildlife officers discovered this kit just south of Denver alone, dehydrated, and near a deceased sibling. They trekked the tyke to our facility so our licensed rehabilitation team could assess it and pro...

Orphaned Horned Lark Takes a Dirt Bath - May 2024
Просмотров 5552 месяца назад
Horned Larks are ground nesting birds that thrive on the open plains. To mimic their habitat, Greenwood supplies ample running space in their enclosure along with dirt trays, hoards of grasses, hidey boxes, and cuts of bark. Arguably one of their cutest behaviors is their tendency to "dirt bathe". The bird shuffles down in the soil tossing grains of sand onto their backs. Can't picture it? Watc...

Late last Thursday afternoon, residents in Thornton were shocked to find a fox wedged precariously between the end posts of their backyard fence. To make matters worse, his fluffy tail was tangled up in some wire. Despite this predicament, the young fox made it abundantly clear that he was not going to make this rescue easy on the humans! Fortunately, for the rescuers, our front desk staff is o...
Ring-tailed Cat Release - January 2024

This rare and elusive species is nocturnal and despite its name, is actually a cousin to the raccoon. Longmont Animal Control responded to a call regarding a “raccoon-like” animal hunkered down in a resident’s kitchen pantry. When the critter was finally captured, it was brought to our facility for evaluation. Our licensed rehabilitator found no injuries, but it was determined the ringtail shou...

On Wednesday, July 19, Greenwood received communications from Louisville Animal Control about five Bobcat babies hanging around a backyard for several days. A lactating female Bobcat was found deceased on the road nearby, presumably struck and killed by a vehicle. Animal Control Officer Kenney soon realized these kittens had been orphaned. Thank you for helping the Raccoons
I hope they all have long and wonderful lives.
Who added the crappy super loud music you ruined the video
You're welcome to turn it down :)
@@GreenwoodWildlife I was watching your video with some friends they all commented on the music and how they all commented how they hate videos with weird loud music in the videos and it seems like practically every video there has to be a music DJ involved
What a cool, looking bird.
Man, nature is amazing. There is so much diversity, I would never get bored learning about all the different species out there.
Cutest wrestling match EVER!
There's just something so adorable about baby animals sucking ba ba's like babies. I love these videos.
That's quite a pool party.
🥰🥰🥰
Absolutely adorable! I love these animals so much.
So adorable.
the video would've been 10,000x better if we could hear his cute little grunts. Still ... good job you guys.
❤️
ha! mammals. lookit ‘em. check out what these rascals get up to. lil bandits
Beautifully written narrative! Thank you for your efforts to help wildlife. What flavor is the branch?
Oh là là, quel mignon !
❤
Was the mother killed?
She was hit by a vehicle unfortunately.
The most destructive act toward all life is disease ridden animal agriculture. Rethink rotting flesh, mother cow/goat lactation breast milk for her calf turned cheese products, and period eggs of female birds.
very sweet introduction however tragic. these little guys require much work but the environment needs them.
It would be cuter if we could hear the sound that the baby makes. Baby beavers make the cutest noise.
Check it out on our Instagram or Facebook. We have some of her noises at the end of the reel.
Beavers r so beneficial to entire ecosystem n environment supporting lives. Why r there so many orphans beavers nowadays?
Oh to hold a sweet baby beaver, what a gift ❤
I'm always bewildered and saddened how anyone can hurt beavers. 😢
Agreed, indeed any animal not threatening to eat you.❤

We would have to agree!
Great job everyone. Thank you the dedication.
Are they part of the cat family or something else?
They are actually a cousin to the raccoon.
